6 Days Hainan Birding Tour

Hainan Island, characterized by tropical and subtropical transitional habitats, boasts rich avian resources with 428 species recorded. Having been isolated from the mainland for a long time, the natural environment on Hainan has facilitated the evolution of many unique bird species.

Hainan Endemics:
Hainan Partridge
Hainan Peacock Pheasant
Hainan Laughingthrush
Hainan Leaf Warbler

Migratory Birds:
Spoon-billed Sandpiper (endangered)
Black-faced Spoonbill (endangered)
In addition to these endemics and migratory species, Hainan Island is a significant breeding, resting, and wintering ground for various migratory birds. It serves as a crucial stopover along the migratory flight route between East Asia and Australasia, attracting tens of thousands of migratory birds each year.

Additional Species:
The island is also home to several owl species found in the region, making it an exciting destination for birdwatchers interested in spotting both resident and migratory species.
