4 Days Nonggang Birding

Nonggang is renowned for its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems, making it a prime location for birdwatching in Guangxi Province, China. The region is characterized by its karst landscapes, which are formed from limestone, resulting in dramatic peaks, deep gorges, and extensive cave systems. This geological setting contributes to a variety of microhabitats, each supporting different species of flora and fauna.The primary habitats in Nonggang include: Subtropical Evergreen Forests, Karst Hills and Fissures and Bamboo Grovescover and food sources in these groves are essential, particularly during the breeding season.

ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Fly to Nanning, transfer to Nonggang

Your arrive to Nanning, then transfer to Nonggang, We mayl start our birding in the afternoon if time allowed

Night at local home-stay.



 

Day 2-3: Nonggang Babbler

Nonggang has many bird hides, we can see most of our target birds easily at the hides, included the star bird Nonggang Babbler, Blue-rumped Pitta, Indo-Chinese Green Magpie, White-winged Magpie, Black-throated Laughingthrush, Yellow-eyed Babbler, Chestnut-capped Babbler, Malaysian Night Heron, White-eared Night Heron, Limestone Leaf Warbler, etc.

Day 4Drive back to Nanning airport for departure
