10 Days Yingjiang & Baihualing Bird Photography Tour

Best season:

From Dec to March

From Middle of March to June are the nesting season for the Hornbills.

Schedule:

Day 1__Arrive in Tengchong or Baoshan

Arrive in Tengchong/Baoshan airport.  Transfer to Shiti Village

Day 2-5__Bird Photography in Tongbiguan Reserve

Tongbiguan reserve bird photography by using hide and in the wild as well. Overnight in Shiti Village

The main targets here are:

Grey Peacock Pheasant, Kalij Pheasant, Red Jungle Fowl, Oriental Pied Honrbill, Great Hornbill, Wreathed Hornbill, Blue-throated and Blue-eared Barbet, Greater and Lesser Yellownape, Greater Flameback, Great Slaty Woodpecker, Golden-fronted, Orange-bellied and Blue-winged Leafbird etc.

Day 6__Yingjiang to Baihualing

After morning birding, driving to Baihualing (5hrs).

3 nights at Baihualing

Day 7-9__ Bird photography in Gaoligongshan

Whole days bird photography in the hide in Gaoligongshan Reserve.

The Possible birds here are:

Hume’s Pheasant, Mountain-bamboo Partridge, Rufous-throated Partridge, Long-tailed Broadbill, Chestnut-vented Nuthatch, Spotted, Grey-sided, Blue-winged, Black-throated, Striated, Scaly and Red-tailed Laughingthrushes, Red-faced Liocichla, Silver-eared Mesia, Red-billed Leiothrix, Streak-breasted, Spot-breasted, Coral-billed and Slender-billed Scimitar Babblers, Golden-breasted, Rufous-Winged, White-browed, Rusty-capped, Grey-Cheeked and Yellow-throated Fulvetta, Long-tailed, Black-headed and Beautiful Sibia, Great Barbet, Golden-throated Barbet, Blue-throated Barbet, Lineated Barbet, Green-eared Barbet, Maroon Oriole, Yellow-bellied Fantail, White-throated Fantail, Yellow-cheeked Tit, Striated Bulbul, Flavescent Bulbul, Mountain Bulbul, Black Bulbul, Rusty-fronted Barwing, Spectacled Barwing, Streaked Barwing, Blue-winged Minla, Chestnut-tailed Minla, Red-tailed Minla, Whiskered and Stripe-throated Yuhina, Orange-bellied Leafbird, Hill Blue Flycatcher, Rufous-bellied Niltava, Vivid Niltava, Large Niltava, Grey-headed Canary-flaycatcher, Fire-breasted Flowpecker,  Streaked Spiderhunter etc.

After morning birding in Gaoligongshan, drive to Baoshan(3hrs) for your departure, tour ended.
